Cycle race "Rund um den Finanzplatz" 01.05.2011
Frankfurt-Riedberg was part of the traditional "Rund um den Finanzplatz" cycle race for the third time. As last year, the event was a success along the whole route this year and it also provided a few sporty surprises. In the blazing sunshine amidst huge crowds, it wasn't the winner of the last two years, Fabian Wegmann, or the top favourite and 15x winner of Tour de France stages, Mark Cavendish who made it to the top of the podium but instead 22-year old newcomer professional, John Degenkolb, from the US team HTC-Highroad.
